Saw SK/Holmes 7's yesterday. Racke was a little shakier this time around. He badly under threw a corner route that was intercepted. Marksberry was yelling at him at times because he was not happy with his read progression. Holmes looks very small, but athletic. I would guess Holmes brought about 45 kids.

The exact reason that posters should not build up these kids as the "next coming of ..." when they are freshmen.

I was at the Holmes 7 on 7 as well and felt the same way about Racke. As pointed out he needs time to develope. With any young QB you are going to have ups and downs. You can tell the coaching staff really would like him to win the job but it is going to take more consistency than he had yesterday to do so because Heflin looked very comfortable at QB yesterday.

I said he earlier he looked good against the JV. I think he will be starting varsity.

I believe you are referencing chris Hicks. You cited him last year on a special teams tackle he made last year in the Connor game. He wears #7.

 

It was actually a hit he made on the TD return by Powell. Absolutely crushed the Cougar.

Would love to see it as two of my favorite kids on the planet will be there. SK's Dillon Powell and Scott's Deondre Pleasant. They played together for 8 seasons as Erlanger Lions. Hope they both have a phenomenal season!
