Racke did start the game with the 1's. I thought he threw well, but, I was a little disappointed they started at the 40 I wanted to see if his range and accuracy on the deep balls improved since the spring game.

Almost all 7-7 start on the 40. If he has to throw it over 40 in 7-7 that would probably count as a sack based on the time allotment to release the ball.

40 yards is plenty to determine how well you throw the deep ball. There are very few high school QB's chucking it 60-70 yards accurately

7 on 7's aren't a strength of Scott. They are not a throwing team. I know the tight end caught a touchdown pass, but the QB's threw several picks and a couple near picks. Scott will run the ball and run it well, like they did last year. The passing game is a work in progress.

I know he's young and still needs time to develop and catch up to the speed of the game. But I thought backup QB Nelson Perrin looked pretty darn good. In fact, I think he may have thrown a couple of TD passes (one to Pleasant and one to London).
