He has confided to people that he likes how things roll in San Antonio with their players not absorbing a ton of minutes; thus increasing his longevity. This move was about that more than anything. The only problem with that is having to draft as well as the Spurs instead of making a guy like Anthony Bennett the #1 overall pick. I know it was a weak draft, but he's also the guy who took 3 times longer than any other #1 to register his first game in double figures. At least they probably got it right this year with Wiggins (though Parker was probably more NBA ready and might fit in better for the chase next season). I'm not very sold on Kyrie being able to stay healthy, especially if you start talking about going through the grind of deep playoff runs.
July 11, 201412 yr It is what I am rooting for. Wouldn't it be great if something comes out that says the SI thing was all a hoax? It would be amazing. If I were him and Dan Gilbert had only pulled his letter the day before I came, I think I'd have gotten my agent and anyone else negotiating for me to open their laptops and show that they'd made their desktop background screenshots of that letter, you know, just to make it a little awkward.

It takes a well oiled machine to do what the Spurs do. I am also with you regarding Kyrie. He has to show me can remain remotely healthy to fully buy in to him. All the talent in the world though he is not a traditional PG.

July 11, 201412 yr If I'm LeBron the concerning thing for me is, Cleveland's FO didn't really get any better at all while he was gone. The ONLY reason they have great parts is they sucked tremendously for the entire time he was gone and got insanely lucky in the lottery. The front office was able to keep their franchise player (Kyrie) and sign him to an extension, they were able to make the biggest free agent signing in four years and, if they get Love, would have orchestrated a championship level trade. The front office hasn't been great, but they have worked some things well, IMO.
July 11, 201412 yr I am also of the opinion that LeBron does not have as many years left to play as many believe. He is relatively young, but has a TON of miles. History shows it is not always about age before you see a decline in production. He has been in the league 11 seasons now.I disagree. He can change his game because of his strength and size. He will post more, make his 15ft game better. He'll morph like MJ did. I have no doubt.

July 11, 201412 yr Wojo just tweeted that Bosh and Houston are working quickly to finalize his deal, and once it's done they'll also be matching the offer sheet on Parsons. I think Bosh fits perfectly there. Won't have to guard the 5 and I think they're vastly improved to seriously contend in the west.
