On a side note look at all the ties these teams had in the past.

Just a Random thought....With 6 of the 50 winningest high school programs in the country right here in our state, why can't UK seem to be able to turn the corner and consistently field a competitive program? I have no illusions of them being an Alabama or a Ohio St. but just being able to compete somewhere in the " upper middle" of the pack year in and year out!

Throwing out the ties, the two teams on the list with the highest winning percentage are Haynesville LA at .8083 and Valdosta at .8074.

What I meant to say was I would be happy if they could just be good enough to be competitive somewhere in the middle of the pack every year and not be the door mat of the SEC lol

I gotcha now. UK's program can't seem to generate the long-term consistency of some of the nearby prep programs.

 

I read you wrong the first time; thought you were implying that scarfing up the local HS talent should translate into collegiate success. Now I've already used up my quota of mistakes for July.

No correlation between the success of 6 schools and UK's ability to win in the SEC.

Even if UK could keep all of the top instate talent it's going to take more than that to be middle ground every year.

Valdosta's win percentage will be going down from here on out. They are a city school with no room to expand and they play up a level every year plus the county they're in, Lowndes, has over taken them. Not to mention they're in the SEC of high school regions.

I hear ya, but it wouldnt hurt if every single KY kid stayed in KY. There have been pretty darn good football players leave this great state to go play for the enemies over the yrs....:thumb:

 

That could be said for every state I guess.

 

Lets just say for wiggles and giggles that every kid had to stay in their respective state to play college football.

 

That might be interesting to say the least...just sayin

Mayfield, is now only 2 games behind #5 Mt Carmel, PA and closing fast. A good year next year could see the Cardinals take the #5 spot
