June 27, 201412 yr A lot of people love the pick and say he will fit in perfectly in SA. Because they have the option of bringing him off of the bench and developing his unique skill set slowly. Lots of teams won't have that and need their first round picks to start or play a lot of minutes. That isn't the Spurs fault, but there are very few teams in their situation.

June 27, 201412 yr I guess I don't understand why teams draft a player who can't come over for a year or 2. Save the money. To clarify stashing players has to do with the cap and franchises who can't attract free agents so they stock young talent for the future . From a business standpoint, I can't blame the franchises at all for doing it, but this is the only reason. Just really sucks for proven college players to not be drafted.

They are not far away from possibly being a contender in the east, so I believe that someone like Hood, Hairston, McGary or even Capela would have been a better pick at this time.
