It would have been fun to see if Hamilton could have scored from first on Frazier's single. But he tripped slightly going around second.

I really thought he was going to try. The way he rounded second looked like he had every intention of going for it.

At Saturday's game there was a situation where Billy was on second, and Frazier hit a deep fly to center field. An easy tag and go to third for Hamilton, but he looked like he wanted to score there too. 3rd base coach held him up.

And when did Votto come back? He has had a humongous impact on this lineup. Indirectly and directly

Vottos walk last night was huge in the 9th. It set up the grand slam by Mesoraco

From that blog: Mesoraco is the 1st player since Del Rice to get hit by two (2) pitches and hit a grand slam in the same game. Rice did it exactly 61 years earlier.

Need 105Mil to pitch like it tonight.

And for the record, I hate evening games at Wrigley. Gimme day baseball like it's supposed to be.

You know, when I watch night games from Wrigley it always looks like there is not enough illumination on the field. It always looks like there are banks of lighting out.

Hamilton 8, Frazier 5, Votto 3, Mesoraco 2, Bruce 9, Ludwick 7, Schumaker 4, Cozart 6, Bailey RHP

Mesoraco looking good in that clean-up spot.

Thought the exact same thing last night.

4-3 Reds win tonight.

Votto gets HR #1 since his return from the DL, and Ludwick has a big RBI double.

And then there's the little leadoff kid with the jacked up teeth. 2 for 5 with a ribbie and scores twice. Did get caught swiping one so may have slipped to sub-elite, but he's been a fantastic surprise to the season. More than anyone could have hoped.

Actually, he stole the base. CB Bucknor callled it the other way. Bucknor is the worst of the worst. I wouldn't want him calling my kid's Little League game.

Schneider's ice balls for everyone if you're wrong, correct? :)
