Reds @ Cubs (6/23 to 6/25)

Technically, he was safe, but Price decided against a challenge for who knows what reason.

And you answered my question before I posted it. I didn't see a replay that made me think he was out. Did any of them look like he was out?

And then there's the little leadoff kid with the jacked up teeth. 2 for 5 with a ribbie and scores twice. Did get caught swiping one so may have slipped to sub-elite, but he's been a fantastic surprise to the season. More than anyone could have hoped.

Not to mention it seems like he has come up big time in the clutch a few different times this year.

Funny you should mention that. Lance McCalister tweeted out a stat, I know you hate those, that of the 15 people with 15 steals or more he has the 14th best percentage. Is 14th out of 15 elite? I'm cool with being the only one that thinks he shouldn't steal 3rd with no outs. You guys can't all be wrong can you?

All kidding aside wasn't he safe last night? I thought it was worth a challenge.

I'm not even going to address the first part. :lol2:

He was safe but I have a feeling they would have said there wasn't enough to overturn the call.

Does it matter? Really? Not the call last night. He puts pressure on people and changes the game. When he's on base or puts it in play, there isn't another like him in the league, IMO.

He was out by a mile in "real time". On the replay, it was very close and I think it could have been overturned.

For what it's worth, Marty said that the Chicago radio announcers thought the Reds would have won the challenge, too.

I turned the game off in the 8th inning.

Meso has to feel GREAT about last night's game. He had a rough game, physically. Hit by a pitch twice, and hit by a swing once, plus the usual array of pitches off his chest. It had to feel good to put the game out of reach with the grand salami.

I think the progression becomes 2 HR tonight with a total of 5 RBI's in those two HR's. :ylsuper:

That seems like a more likely scenario than mine...

I would also ignore the argument or say it doesn't matter if I was arguing 75% was elite and only one person who is in the top 15 in steals this year was below 75%.

I've ignored your argument the whole time. So, I'm good?

Actually you're the one that brought it up again today. I am fine in my belief that 75% isn't elite and you shouldn't steal 3rd with no outs. I'm fine with you disagreeing with it too. You're just wrong to do so. No biggie.

Oh, I enjoy yankin' your chain. You're fun.

1at time over .500 all year?

Anyone?

^Yes...

Thanks. I thought so, but wasn't 100% sure.

Serious question. Do you believe this in any and every situation?
