What irks me about Verizon is they have new promo's with great pricing but won't let existing customers switch over.

That's not just Verizon. It's Sprint and every other carrier does the same thing. As do all the cable and satellite TV providers. New customers always get the good deals. Those markets are so saturated, there are very few first timers (actual new to the market) customers out there. So to grow your subscriber base you have to chase and attract customers who with your competitors.

I connect using Wi-Fi whenever possible. I've never gone over 1G

Yep. I just switched from an unlimited plan to a plan that only allows 1gb per month. Neither myself or anyone in my family have exceeded the 1gb limit. Wifi is everywhere. And unless you're streaming video or music, simple web browsing doesn't use a ton a data. The only other thing aside from music or video that really can suck data is if you use your phone as a GPS a lot.

As an intro when I went to a smart phone a year ago I got a 2G plan with an extra 2G free for 6 months. Never even came close to needing it all. I've now reverted to the 2G plan and still haven't come close to using it all.

I listen to I-heart-radio for over an hour most mornings when I walk and that's all LTE.

My wife only does 4G (Company phone W/unlimited data for the amount they pay) I'll have to check hers to see how much see uses in a month.

Most with Verizon will tell you they are the best, those with AT&T will tell you they are the best. To be honest there really isn't that much difference. There are places you will go and the Verizon coverage will be crappy and places where the AT&T coverage is crappy.

How awful is it to switch from one company to the other to get the better deals? Keep your phone #? Use an existing phone?

A friend told me who also has Cinn Bell he was told by AT&T that he could keep his phone he has through them????

Had AT&T, drop calls constantly, switched to Verizon and love it.I can even get a signal when I go back to Eastern Ky.

I thought the Parkway was one way only.

But isn't it a fact Verizon coverage has a larger net?

Been with Verizon Wireless with over 50 lines since 1986. When we talked Verizon listens....It's a nice problem to have!

Yes I would agree with that. I've been Verizon for over 17 years not and rarely have any issue that a customer service rep couldn't resolve. By far the best coverage in Kentucky from what I can tell.
