Yessir.

I have video of Holmes-Dixie, Holmes-Newcath, and Holmes-Highlands that I'll be posting either tomorrow night or Monday night.

Yea Holmes had all of their players...Booher played a lot of guys though while Newcath played their starting 5 for the most part until they got a big lead and played Weyer and/or McDonald with the younger Moeves and two other kids that I didnt know.

Newcath looked really good regardless of who Holmes had on the court. Holmes has really good guard play but lack the inside presence to match up with Newcath. McDonald and Weyer pretty much did what they wanted inside. McDonald had multiple and ones while Weyer was active at both ends with a couple nice dunks in transition. Pangallo also played well.

Another kid that really impressed me was Marcus Mullins of Holmes. Junior lefty guard that has really good athleticism and can flat out stroke it from outside. Wouldn't surprise me if he starts along side McClendon and Bolden in the back court.

People will know about him by mid season.

Not that it makes it any better, the correct score was 81-29.

Hope the Birds don't get discouraged by the lack of success against the Bulldogs. Holmes too quick and the tempo way too much for Highlands.

Highlands is now 12-4 this summer with 3 more scheduled Monday. Have competed well in every other effort the last two weeks.

Holmes did a nice job running this event.

Also, kudos to the officials that braved the heat in the gym (miserable on Friday night). I appreciate that they called the games very much like they would in the high school season. Other team camps I have been to are blood baths. Nice to watch basketball instead of wrestling on the court.

Oh my....and Holmes isnt as good ad last year. What did Highlands bring to the gunfight?

Parker Harris and a little guard were the only two who really stood out.

Looks like they brought a knife.

Where did I not give Newcath credit??

Guess you missed the part where I said Newcath looked really good regardless of who Holmes put on the floor.

Relax.

Yes I can read I guess I should have just said thanks for the back handed compliment

After seeing lots of games this June the top 5 teams in the 9th look to be CovCath, NCC, Dixie, Holmes and Cooper. I think any one of them could beat each other on any given night. CovCath impressed me the most.

Back handed compliment? Ask the Newcath kids and they will tell you I am one of their biggest supporters. You are looking too much in to my comment about Holmes playing a lot of kids in that game.

I have had Newcath #1 in the region since preseason last year but you're right...I give them no credit.

Haven't seen Covcath yet but have heard they have looked really good this summer. One coach told me he has seen every team in the top 10 and Covcath looked the best. Just so fundamentally sound at both ends.
