See? I just don't like that indefinite detention thing. Either charge them or let them go. Would we allow our citizens to be detained as such?

 

Your concerns are valid. Unfortunately 'the war on terror' is ill-defined and traditional methods do not work. There should be a strategy to address what to with 'detainees' WHEN hostilities wind down. But obviously those hostilities are not over. Freeing detainees via 'prisoner-swaps' when we have troops still in battle in the field is not good practice at all.

Just stating that I'll look elsewhere for political analysis than from Rolling Stone...that said most of the stuff in that article is their arrived at opinion not so much fact. There are just as many opinions disagreeing with their conclusions.

Actually, Rolling Stone has been at the forefront of current-events reporting in recent years.

Their reporting denigrates what they do, I don't have to do it for them...the Entire article is basically them reporting their opinion as fact.

 

But you do have to wonder how credible can a music magazine be on current events when they can't get music right!!!

This story has stayed beneath the radar. Another example of how the Republicans take pride in being uninformed -- walking out early or, in the case of Rand Paul, not even bothering to attend a classified briefing for senators on the Bergdahl exchange. Never let the facts stand in the way of a partisan bash.
