Who do the Miami Heat want to play next?

Featured Replies

If you are Erik Spoelstra, do you want to play the Thunder or the Spurs? I think we can all agree the Pacers aren't going to rattle off 3 straight on Lebron and co.

If they win tonight I don't think they care who they play. They'll be rested. I think they have a healthy respect for both teams. I don't think they care who shows up.

I think either team poses a serious threat this year to the Heat.

Agreed.

If the Thunder come back and win this series, Heat could be in trouble.

If the Spurs could play four games like the first two against the Thunder...they would be hard to handle.

If the Thunder could play four games like the last two...they would be hard to handle as well.

But I'm not sure they either one can.

Big Game for the Heat...get a win, get some rest and root for the west to go seven!

Something alot of people forget, the Spurs are a Ray Allen 3 in the corner from winning it all last year.

Trust me. I don't. Very few games, especially at the professional level, do I ever hold on to. That game I am still not over. I can still see the whole chain of events unfold. LeBron misses a three so badly it comes back to him and he makes a three. Manu and Leonard each miss FTs, LeBron turns the ball over 3 times in the final 2 minutes, misses again badly from deep to be kicked out to Ray for maybe the must clutch three in NBA history, Popovich has in a small lineup,:banghead: .

I think they would want the Thunder no questions asked. They handled them pretty easily last time but had to absolutely steal one from the Spurs last season. The Spurs only look better this year, and OKC is without James Harden. Not to mention the key to beating Miami is on the inside, Spurs have much more of a post presence. Miami can match up with the length and athleticism of OKC, it's harder for them to match up with Duncan, Splitter, Diaw, etc.

Thunder. Without question.

No chance they want to see the Spurs again. Perhaps Lebron because he's competitive and would like another shot to beat the team that destroyed him in Cleveland, but as a whole they have to like the matchup with OKC.

Agreed. They should have lost to the Spurs last year, I don't think they want to see them again.

Right or wrong, people would probably be thinking a lot differently about LeBron at the moment if he had only 1 ring, especially with him missing those three pointers as you mentioned. Unbelieveable is the only word to describe the Heat coming back and winning that game.

To me the turnovers were horrific. I am used to him LeBricking shots from deep, but he practically gave the Spurs the game with his turnovers. That would have made James 8-13 all time in NBA final games with 1 ring. But, give he and the Heat credit for somehow winning that game and rewriting his legacy. He now sits at 10-12 with two rings in the Finals.

I think they need to close out the Pacers before start thinking about the finals. If the Pacers can steal one in Miami, things will be very interesting come game 7 at Indy.
