I'm really excited to see where Olmstead ends up going. He reminds me a lot of Sowards except bigger. He doesn't have the foot technique yet that Sowards has but hopefully that will come. I don't have his measurements but I believe he has a longer reach than Sowards and is taller which helps a lot when schools evaluate he deffinatley has the strength. I hope his foot technique improves gets a little quicker because i think the sky is the limit with him. I think he would be a great fit for any MAC team. Wish him the absolute best and what a great family!!!!

I like Olmstead a lot better than Sowards, I still can't believe he went were he did and on top of it Olmstead doesn't have an offer.

Sowards lived in the gym. To his credit, he is a relentless worker. Olmstead swims just to get away from football for two months. Olmstead also runs a 4.8 shuttle which is very good, but a 5.7 40, which is not. Agility yes, speed no.

 

Sowards a year ago was much leaner than Olmstead is now, but, Olmstead is still only 16 and still growing. A lot of programs are waiting to see how far he grows and matures this year. Kent and Ohio like him a lot. I pity the fellow paying his Kroger bill!

I know last year they where having a hard time finding him big enough football shoes. He is listed on SK roster at 6'5 325.

At a recent camp he posted 4.78 and a 4.90 shuttle very impressive for the big man.
