May 25, 201412 yr Last year Cards were out of this world. This year, not so much. They did tonight, though.
May 25, 201412 yr Well, Leake vs. Wainwright on Sunday night. Should be fun. I'm on my iPad, so I can't really look up stats: does anyone know Waino's #'s against the reds?
May 25, 201412 yr What's wrong with Hamilton now? Not sure if he already had the scheduled game off but he was out late at Holy Grail Fri after the game ripping some shots.

May 25, 201412 yr 6-9 with a 4.75 ERA in 21 games' date=' 16 games started.[/quote'] Thanks. I knew the Reds had fared decently well against him recently but expected his numbers to be better than that.
May 25, 201412 yr Hamilton was not hurt. Price said with a bunch of lefties coming up against the Reds he wanted to give him a night off. I would disagree with that thinking.
May 25, 201412 yr These threads are a lot more fun/ empty of trolls when the Reds win. Heaven forbid when they lose a game all heck breaks loose

No excuse for him not to have been in the lineup last night! He is a switch hitter, right or left handed pitcher, it shouldn't have mattered. This was a huge series for the Reds to make a statement and get some much needed confidence. It seems everyone in the organization, including announcers only want to talk about injuries and how the Reds have just not had any luck this year. I get that, but injuries happen, suck it up and go play. Although the season is young, I get same impression as last years team, there is just no sense of urgency.

Heisey did ok yesterday, the Reds were inches from tying the game with Mesoraco. The team played well for the most part, they were just unlucky and the Cards got timely hitting. It wasn't as terrible of a loss as some make it out to be.
May 25, 201412 yr Not getting the schedule. Sunday night game, then in LA tomorrow night? Thats rough

May 25, 201412 yr Its a loss. Fri. was a win. Neither carries more weight than the other. I agree for the most part, but taking the first game in any series is huge, sets you up nicely for the next 2.
