That all the starters except Hamilton and Cozart (1 behnd) would have more RBIs than Votto? That the catching position would be hitting over .360. That Cueto would have set pitching records? That Leake and Simon would be dominant starting pitchers? That 3 members of the bullpen would have ERAs over 6.00? That the Reds would lead MLB in runners throw out at the plate? That Hamilton would lead the league in caught stealing? That it would rain in seemingly every game?

May 17, 201412 yr The way this season has been going so far, I'm content with the record. There's a lot of pessimism about this team, but I really see them picking it up and end up a couple games over .500 once they start getting some people back.

I am not convinced, though, I hope you are correct. I find it hard to believe their starting pitching will be this good for the whole season. If it is, they have a little better chance. I still see no consistent run production. They have wasted several really good starts. I am still staying positive, but it gets more difficult. Injuries are a factor, however, you know you will have them. They just have no one in AAA they can call on.

Jay Bruce is the only top outfielder that has come from the farm system, and heck that what was what 5 years ago. Yes Hamilton has come up also, just not proven, so count him if you like. So 2 outfielders in the past 5 years? Ya need 3 to play the game!!
