If you want to see obstruction look at Reid. How many bills has the House passed that he won't even let be debated in the Senate much less voted on?

We'll start with the stimulus. The bill proposed by President Obama incorporated Republican ideas for $300 million in tax cuts, even though his own advisors said it was a poor form of stimulus. Despite that, he received no backing from McConnell or the rest of the Republicans (maybe Collins?). Then the Republicans had the nerve to call the $300 million in tax cuts "spending" in all of their ads. If President Obama was willing to trade the tax cuts for Republican votes, he should have made them offer the trade. 2. They spent almost a year negotiating with Republicans over the health care bill. The President gave away single payer and a public option and got no Republicans votes in return. 3. The President compromised on the tax increase for those making over $250,000. Republicans compromised on that one too. 4. The Democrats quit pushing cap and trade (a Republican idea by the way) when it became obvious that there would be no Republican support. That is just a few examples off the top of my head.

April 28, 201412 yr OK..President Obama will be out of office in 2 years. What will Mitch McConell do after President Obama is out of office? There's not really much impact he can have at this point, if he wins the next election. What's done is done, despite his best efforts. I don't expect that President Obama will be pushing too much in the last bit of his term. At least, if past Presidential precedent holds.
