It is a small sample I agree, but he has the 10th best batting average (down to .091 after last night) on the team so far with runners on base but if you take Cueto and Cingrani out of the list he moves up to 8th on the team in batting average with runners on base. It's a small sample for everyone.

Yes. Grounded out with a runner on third in his only AB with RISP. Also had a ground rule double, a K, and a BB.

I like this roster move and I'm stating the obvious but the key to making it work is Hamilton consistently getting on base.

 

If he can, we saw yesterday that Votto is going to get a lot more cheese to hit. I'd hate to be pitching to Votto with Billy on base and Phillips on deck.
