hoops5
So I get a "Save the Date" email for my niece's wedding. It's the same date as another niece from the other side of the family. What are the chances that they would pick the same date? They live about 6 hours apart, so it will be tough to go to both. How to choose?
TheDeuce
Easy. Who do you like better? :lol2:
hoops5
Easy. Who do you like better? :lol2: Funny! Wish it were that easy. One is my Goddaughter. But this will be the 4th wedding on that side of the family, as there are 21 grandkids. The other is the very first wedding on that side of the family, and there are 9 grandkids. I'm just sick about this right now.
Dlbdonn
That happened to me years ago . My Brothers daughter was married in Columbus Ohio on the same day that my wife's sister's son was married in Erlanger . I went to the wedding in Columbus ,my wife went to the wedding in Erlanger . Both families understood the reasoning behind our decisions .
TheDeuce
I think you go with the side where it's the first wedding...
formerkywrestler
This is easy. Go down the list. When you get a no that one is eliminated. 1. Do both have an open bar?

I'm much closer to my Goddaughter; I was in the delivery room when she was born, and she was a flower girl at my wedding. What my 5 kids do, we will just have to wait and see. hoops5
The weddings are in June 2015. Is it ok to ask one of them to switch days? :lol2:

hoops5
Rent a private jet. Go to both like the rich people do. That would be so awesome! I'm kind of waiting to hear the times for both. We may be able to do the ceremony for one and the reception for the other.

Clyde
I'm sensing you going to one and your husband heading to the other. People get very sensitive when a close family member doesn't show up. There is no other good solution IMO than "the split."
