Congratulations to MoCo on a great year........... Congratulations to the CAMELS, 10th Region CHAMPS, and to Coach Russell and Coach Gross........WOOHOO.!!!!!! Great team play tonight. Corey Holbrook played as we expected, GREAT! Dre Jackson, he did what Dre does, another great game! MATT WILSON, Great Game, he changed the game around the basket all tonight. Losey and McGovney were both hard nosed all night. The players coming off the bench played well all night. Great team effort, again, Congratulations Camels!

It was written here a couple of weeks ago that Russell was at the helm of a sinking ship....well crow has been served. This may be one of the best turnarounds I have seen out of a team in a long time. They were written off a few weeks ago and then run the gauntlet. Russell deserves a lot of credit. Not many coaches can beat Carr and Code, two of the best coaches in NKY and then run off 3 for the Regional Championship. This team really stepped it up with leadership from every position and every player. Can say I am proud of my alma mater, these group of men and proud of Coach Russell the best coach I ever had when I was a kid. Good luck down state!

Very well put. :thumb:

As Clizzers pointed out, this is the second school Aric Russell will take to the Sweet 16. Has to be extra special for him that it's his alma mater. I've known Aric for several years & he's good people.

Really enjoyed this game. Both teams gave great effort, but the Camels just made bigger plays when it mattered. They refused to be put away by a handful of MoCo runs. They're playing really good basketball.

Congratulations to the Camels - a bunch of tough kids out there tonight.

When ahead 46-40 mid third, MoCo made a 10-0 run to go up 50-46 Campbell could have packed it in, BUT they didn't.

Happy for Corey Holbrook, and really impressed with Matt Wilson. McGovney earned his stripes against intense pressure, and knocked down a HUGE three late in the game.

Congratulations to AfiGuy - this has to be a very special night for he and the missus.

I look forward to seeing them play in Rupp.

Thanks Mustang. A very special night indeed. The police escort from the County line to CCHS was a lot of fun. The trips loved the cars honking and the excitement.

......

As the Camels biggest fan on here this year, I couldn't be happier for them. Holbrook, Wilson, and Jackson are a heck of a trio. Really thought ball control would be their undoing tonight, but ecstatic to have been wrong.

Good luck at Rupp!!!

Well,,,when you like them all you can*t go wrong..I know you still don*t like me....LOL

Congrats to the Camels and coaching staff on a great run. Holbrook, Wilson, and Jackson did what they do. Wilson has been a force inside; Jackson scores any way you want him to and Holbrook put the team on his back when Jackson fouled out. Not to be overlooked, McGovney, Losey, Geiman, and both Franzens all stepped up and played solid minutes during District and Regional tourney. A great team effort including the guys who push those above everyday in practice. Camels be proud and hold your heads high for tonight you are CHAMPIONS. :ylsuper:

Congrats to the Camels and their fans. This is a great accomplishment. Go down and represent NKY well.

As I previously stated, no one roots for Moco except for Moco. A tough loss, I couldn't be more proud of all those guys. If you don't like they way "we do things" you can get over it. You're grown men arguing about teenage athletes. Get a hobby

Are you real sure they are all grown men?

Camels played terrific tonight. Great team effort. Big plays by several kids. Holbrook played outstanding. He is on a mission. Jackson smooth as usual. How about the play Losey made on the run out layup. Great athletic move. McGovney with a huge 3. Big shot for a sophomore. Wilson completely dominated the paint. He completely took away any inside game for Montgomery. The bench was outstanding tonight. Franzen with great defense and how about the big plays by Geiman. Look forward to watching the Camels next Wednesday. GO CAMELS!

That is my last post ever on BGP. Thanks again

Moving back home?

I would think they have the Internet in counties or states other than Montgomery?

Gotta have skin a little thicker than that if you are willing to dish it out.

Big 3 got it done big time, but you highlight some really key plays by the other guys. Losey's play on the late layup was terrific and the McGovney 3 made a 56-55 lead a 59-55 lead. The Geiman play where he missed the corner 3 but followed his shot, got the board, and scored was nice too.

Campbell County was fun to watch in this tourney, even though they beat up on my Polar Bears. Hoping to see them at Rupp next week.

Looking at the Campbell County roster, they should be preseason #1 next year.

I agree.

Congrats to Camels and Coach Russell. Hard working team and when Corey is on, lights out….Probably make the trip to Rupp to see the Purple and Gold.

That is my last post ever on BGP. Thanks again

Not sure why the hostilities. It seems obvious what is and has happened over there in the past couple of years. It makes them very hard to root for. Some might even say justice has been served.
