Great game, effort, and season for the Augusta Panthers and Coach Jason Hinson.

 

Hardly fair for Augusta to be asked to have to beat MoCo, but it was a 53-53 ballgame before MoCo went on an 8-0 run to solidify the win.

I was ready to eat crow. Great performance by Augusta. Bach is a great player full of heart! My hats off to them.

Here's my nomination for Bach for the 10th Region HOF in the first year of his eligibilty 2018-19 or 19-20. I think you have to be out five years - maybe not.

 

Too bad we don't have an all-tournament team so the kid could receive a standing ovation from the entire Fieldhouse tomorrow night. Maybe they can have him run out on the floor with a towel to wipe up a wet spot.

My post in the update thread but I was thinking there may have been enough time to remove him from the game.

 

 

 

Take a bow Brent Bach.....you have had a tremendous career and will be a KY high school legend for many years to come. I wish I could be there when he comes out the game to hear his ovation.

Panthers stayed with the Indians for nearly the entire game. Every time MoCo went on a run, Augusta clawed back. Simply a matter of too many horses at the end of the game.

 

Congrats to MoCo on the win and advancing to the title game. Should be a good one.

 

Special shout-out to the Panthers; it's been a dream season for them. My pleasure to watch a future 10th Region HOFer in his final performance as a high-schooler.

This was an awesome game to watch. Augusta played their hearts out tonight. It kinda had that feel the Mason Co game had down the stretch. With 2 minutes and some change left it was tied. Give MoCo alot of credit they were the better team. Their size is a difference maker. Cisero and jones are beast down low and great rebounders. Had a few nice dunks and ally oops

 

Neither team wavered. They rolled with the punches. There was more than one time that Augusta could have lost their focus but they didn't. Bach is an excellent player one of the 10th regions best ever. Beyond that he is a great leader. Seeing him on the court calming down his team mates during MoCo runs keeping their composure was something to see. He's like a coach on the floor.

 

Conner Maddox also had a great game. He a nice player and is only a Sophomore. It will be fun watching him the next couple years :thumb:

Wish I was sitting next to babyjack to watch him squirm. Moco definitely had to do more than show up, and the Augusta supporting cast that would be "no task to stop"? Connor Maddox had 19 pts and 5 three pointers.
