Thought this would be a toss up too, but very surprised by outcome. Very interesting semi-finals. In BOTH games.

This one was tough to watch. Brossart scores 2 after 1 , 13 at half, 18 after 3 and 27 total. Hard to go into a region game knowing you can't allow more than 26 points to win. The point totals for Brossart in the seasons last 4-6 weeks have been challenging to say the least. Just unable to put points on the board. Seemed to decline after the blown game in All A vs Danville. Hard to pinpoint where it went wrong but a lot of talent is walking out the door. Be interesting to see what future holds next few years at Brossart . 4 starters are gone time to rebuild.

Very disappointing night for the Brossart gals. Started flat, falling behind 14-2 while turning the ball over six times. Mason County was very agressive on both ends of the floor and did a great job contesting everything that we tried to do. Verst was the only one to hit from the perimeter. Futscher was held scoreless for three quarters.

Following the 14-2 early game run, the Lady Stangs answered with an 11-4 run of their own, making it 18-13 at the half.

Pulled to within two early in the second half at 18-16, but stalled out, only putting 5 points on the board in the third and trailed by seven 25-18 after three. Mason County hit their free-throws down the stretch and drew off to win 42-27.

Tough way to go out for five Brossart seniors, who were instrumental in winning 90 games over the past four years.

Mason County has now won 13 of their past 15 games and play Clark County Saturday afternoon in the semi-finals.

I concur, we never seemed to pick it back up after the Danville loss and said so tonight on the broadcast.

Worst coached game I have seen in quite a while. Zero adjustments from BBHS bench the ENTIRE GAME. That allowed Mason County to stay in their zone press the ENTIRE GAME!!!!!!. Talent galore, but talent only gets you so far without leadership. Time for the AD at BBHS to make an adjustment. Just my opinion. Hats off to Mason County. Got beat early in the year by BBHS but made adjustments and came out with a win.

We certainly have short memories.

I think Coach Feldman has done a pretty good job. Brossart seems to have unlucky draws in the regional tournament.

Coach Feldman has done an outstanding job since he has been at Brossart. I dont think you can look at one game and ignore the other 3 years of work.

In all honesty, Coach Feldman has not won when it really counted. He got beat in the All 'A' Regional his first year by a much weaker St. Patrick team and then preceded to lose big time to NCC the next two years in the All 'A' State tournament and then lost to a much smaller and less talented team in Danville this year in the All 'A'. And I believe in the four years at Brossart, this was the only year he won the district and then with a ton of talent, lost to Mason Co. in the first round of the regional. He may have won a bunch of regular season games but the games that really counted he was woefully short on. This team of seniors never experienced the success that they were touted to have way back when they were freshmen. In my opinion, Coach Feldman never reached the pinnacle of what I would consider coaching respect and success. But thinking the AD at Brossart will keep him because he's afraid of not being able to find anyone who might be a quality coach to replace him. Maybe its the AD that should go with the coach!

That smaller less talented Danville team made it to the all a final by beating NCC who beat Brossart. So are they really that much less talented?

That Danville team was just a scrappy team that outplayed both Brossart and NCC. My thinking was the coach at Danville was just a better coach than the other two, having had loads of success throughout her career. Regardless, Brossart went 6-6 after the All 'A' and never seemed to regain its fire. How much is Coach Feldman's doing? Well, the team normally follows the route of the coach. You must admit this team never reached its potential with the talent it had. Is four years enough time to prove that you can win the big games? I can't answer that but he has been given quite a few opportunities that he has not cashed in on. Of the fours years, what would be considered a signature win for the program?

Nailed it. This senior class was loaded with talent in trems of girls basketball it's in coming Freshmen year and I would have to agree they never reached it's potential. The biggest knock I had on Coach Feldman (and I got along well with him) when my daughter played for him and I've hread it from other parents over the last few years is ADJUSTMENTS are never made when necessary. Coach Feldman will be at Brossart as long as he wants I don't see them feeling a need to change.

Ryle, Highlands, Murray, and DUPONT MANUAL (The year they almost won the state championship

This team of seniors never experienced the success that they were touted to have way back when they were freshmen.

Has there been a highly touted group of Freshman that have ever met "expectations" - at any school? In any sport?

So now we base our success on the failure of others. They failed so if we fail it's OK.

We lose to Danville, a game we should have won.............but it's OK NOW cause NCC lost to them too!!!!
