Holmes 72 Covington Catholic 62 2OT (35th District Final)

Congrats to Holmes. Sounds like another exciting game.

As a Cov Cath fan, I don't mind losing such a close game. There's not many 1 loss teams, and it's very difficult to beat a team like Holmes 3 times in 1 season.

Hopefully these two meet again in the Championship again.

To date they have only played twice..I know your 1 loss was out of state,if you play many more weak Ohio schools you might qualify for the Ohio State Tourney, play 7 or 8 good instate games next year and see how many L*s you have

Good one. How many teams in KY would have their record with the schedule they played ?

Really......at least a hand full.......

CCH schedule was solid. Not getting to play Moeller really hurt the SOS.

I think too many people got lost in the W/L and didn't watch them play. You can see how they can beat Holmes and NCC and you can see how they lose to both as well. When they're good they can be really good. When not...they're just solid.

We saw last night that having Mark Schult play 10 minutes (if I read that correctly) REALLY hurts on both ends. He has to stay on the floor for CCH to advance.

Schedules are good fodder for "who should be ranked where" but it is and always will be about head-to-head individual and team matchups. Holmes showed they could adjust from their first meeting. CCH didn't fare well with the adjustments (funneling Ruthsatz). That's what makes rematches fun.

Looks like to me there is still bad Blood between Coach Listerman and Cov. Cath. Basketball Coaching Staff!

I sensed that as well, what's the deal there?

The last two games I went to Cov Cath vs Holmes things have happened with Listerman and Cov Cath coaching staff!

I sensed that as well, what's the deal there?

I had posted this subject in the Mark Whrey thread, been little feedback. The 9th region refs are very generous towards Coach Listerman's rage, he will not have that luxury next week with different regional refs. Hopefully there won't be an issue.

Very astute observation tark.

I sensed that as well, what's the deal there?[/QUOT I will not air it on this forum, but think about it, could be more than one deal..
