They were down about 16 or 18 at half. Sounds like they had a huge 3rd qtr to get back into the game and then won it down the stretch. Coach Hicks deserves a lot of credit for keeping them focused. The senior leaders like Will, Way, my man Landon L, and big Sam deserve kudos as well.

I would dispute that it was much of an upset. 4 even-matched teams in this district.

Absolutely fantastic comeback by the Cougs. Cooper dominated the first half and Conner the second. I'm very happy for Coach Hicks after so many first-round disappointments over the past 5 or 6 years.

Conner was the #2 seed with Copper being the #3 seed.

Glad to see this score. Would love to see the Cougars as district champs and making a run at the region.

Interesting since about a week ago you could have been convinced that Cooper was 4th in NKY.

 

In fact you said to Ennam the 4th that you thought Dixie and Cooper were essentially the same team. So you wouldn't be shocked if Dixie had lost to Conner tonight? I would have been...mightily.

Great job by the Cougars last evening. They got the steam rolling in the second half and Cooper had no answer. Hemmerich was taking Hathorn to school and the Watts throw down sent the crowd into a frenzy. Great resiliency by the Conner team. Lot of teams would have quit when they got down by 16. S. McNeil had 11 at the half and I believe he was shut out in the second half. Once Conner got out of the zone and manned up, it was all she wrote. Good luck Friday boys!
