Yes it would but after Disney rewrote the story, George C would have been the coach and he would have been the one that showed the young man how to shoot the ball before the season started because the kids Father was dead and he was dating the young man mom, who was hotter than hot. The final picture would be George kissing Mom while the young man looked on with a big smile on his face while dribbling the ball!

My man Sumo was there last night & I chatted with him briefly before tip off.

 

A loss like that is painful for players and fans and coaches alike. Plus, I like Sumo a lot so I'm not going to give him a hard time.

 

And I can't believe I've allowed this thing to go 100+ posts without congratulating Shawn Johnson on a fine high school career. I've always enjoyed his game & particularly the quiet way he went about his business. Not sure if I ever saw him call attention to himself. He let his game speak for itself & I like that. :thumb:

 

Royals lose Johnson, among others, but they'll be really good next year & Dorian Henry one of the 10th's top players.

Had a chance to talk to Shawn once at the Murph classic after they beat the panthers and although it was very brief you couldn't ask for a nicer kid to talk to. Very respectful and nice young man.

I am here but not OK! I did not want to post earlier when I really angry and it has gone down but not by much. Also, since 95% of the posters on this thread wanted Mason to lose, I really did not want to post but Mildford Flash was worried about me. Bach raises his game to Super human levels when he plays Mason and he was termendous. With that said, I thought the Refs really protected Bach. When he makes more FT's than Mason takes, I wonder. Of Mason 21 fouls, 15 were against Bach. Also, no one has mentioned the call when the Ref right on the call called a block, and the Official across the floor came over, out of his territory, which is a big no-no called a charge. That costs Mason two FT's and another foul on Henry. I have seen Refs from under the basket and side Ref disagree on a block charge but never both outside Officials. Also, I am hearing that an Augusta Cheerleader ran into the Mason player when he threw the long pass that went out of bounds. After the pass, the Official and the Sheriff was fussing on someone but I did not know why until later. Augusta played a perfect game, slowed the game down, had basically no turnovers and had the best player on the floor. That usually means a winner. Congrats to Augusta and Coach Hinson on a great game. And yes it does still sting alot!!!!!

Also, I really love Shawn very much. He is super young man. He is one of my favorite Royals that I have been around since I have been helping. I feel much more disappointment for him than I can ever feel for myself. I can help again next year but his High School is over.

I gotta say this is probably one of the best threads ever on BGP and what BGP is about. Little media attention paid to the game but enough first hand accounts that were witnesses to the action. 6 pages. Kudos!
