DIII can not make up for it. Thats what the article is pointing out. To sum it up. A DIII player gets no more monies than if that student just enrolled into the school as a nonplayer. If your son is getting 50% of the schooling paid for it's for GPA ACT scores or needs based. Thats it they can't do anymore than that. Any kid that plays at the next level is a very good football player. I'm just trying to point out that some of the lower level DIII schools use sports as an enrollment booster. The facts are that 21% of the student body are playing sports.

You do not have to be a good football player to play at the next level. You can play if you have never played a down before, you just have to pay your way. I am talking DIII and NAIA, they will take all comers.

You do not have to be a good football player to play at the next level That is my point. Any HS player can play at the next level, if that level is DIII. I do know that NAIA does have some money to give to players they want. Most NAIA players are also paying there way.

UK do you think that sk has enough coming back to rival last year's success. That was a special year for you guys. Hard to repeat when you graduate such good players.

I don't think we are looking at another 12 win season, but one thing this program has proven is that it can develop quarterbacks. The sophomore who will start this year has been groomed since 6th grade by Coach Lucas. I would expect the running game to be leaned on more while this QB gets some experience in the non-district schedule.

You definitely have to at least have a passing threat. We know ( Ryle )how hard it is to win when you are one dimensional. Teams put 9 in the box on you. Good luck this season. See you on the field.

Any new kids playing for SK this year?

I think that some of the kids from the freshmen team will be able to step up. Kincaid,Book,Carter, as well as Dylan Hampton. Hampton was an absolute monster last year. It will be exciting to see what they can do with that kid.

Markie Rider will probably get some playing time.

SK returns one of top receivers in Winkler.

I went to a few freshman games last year, the best defender that is moving up to varsity is by far #44, Carter I believe.

SK lost their entire secondary. That is what I want to see the most, other than the QB battle. Overall I think they have it in them to win the district but have the colonels and camels right on their heels.

Alot of under class men got playing time on defense. They will be fine in the secondary. Mulberry will probably be the best db.

Right, but not too many underclassmen had playing time in the secondary.

I am pretty sure the secondary will be fine with #22 6'2 180 pound Evans(8 games),#3 5'11 165 pound Mulberry(9 games),#29 5'10 150 pound Galbraith(8 games), and #21 5'10 160 pound Depaolo(4 games) they all got playing time last year.
