Walter Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Was told earlier by a reliable source that the former Holmes junior standout is now at Newport. Johnson is one of the better D lineman in NKY. Will make a big impact next year for the Wildcats.
MrFootball Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Yes. Football is looking very good for the Wildcats next year!
Mr. Sixer Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 I also heard that Newport may not be the final destination either. Will love to see how this one plays out.
MrFootball Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 It is final. He is enrolled to Newport High School

I think the kid is good enough to warrant some hard college looks, but ( no offense meant to Newport) the competition level goes way down and often the interest as a result. Good luck to the young man.
TheRealDeal Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Yes. Football is looking very good for the Wildcats next year! One player does not make a team...
MrFootball Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 One player does not make a team... Nobody said "one player makes a team" . Only thing I said was that football is looking good next year .
BlueBirdWarrior Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Physically, he will be a great addition to any team. He played hard against HHS last year. I was hoping to see him play against the Birds this year. Good luck to him.
Eagle2013 Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 I think Newport was set to have one of their better teams in a long time next season. This is only gonna make them even better.
Mr. Sixer Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 It is final. He is enrolled to Newport High School It's final when he plays his first game in a Newport uniform. Like I said, I will wait to see how this one plays out this summer.
MrFootball Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 It's final when he plays his first game in a Newport uniform. Like I said, I will wait to see how this one plays out this summer. Ok, we will see my friend.
Mr. Sixer Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Ok, we will see my friend. Honestly, knowing ihim personally I truly truly hope Newport is his final destination as he needs to get settled. He will have 2 years remaining to show he can clearly dominate and take over games and futher impress college coaches. You can't teach the size and speed he has but his Junior year will be the most critical for him, IMHO.
MrFootball Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 He is a Junior . He will be a senior next year.
