I got to meet Billingham who was pitching coach for our then Martinsville Astros club. He was one of the most sarcastic and funny people I've met. :thumb: Gruff, but nice enough to reminisce about the Red Machine.

I would imagine the stories and experiences, were amazing to hear.

It was George Hendrick, and he grounded out to 1st basment Dan Driessen. Don Werner was the catcher that day, not Bench. Hendrick also broke up Mario Soto's no hit bit with a two out homerun in the 9th.
