Holmes 63 Highlands 52

Not a typical Bolden game though. His staring down referees after being whistled for traveling has to stop. Who does he think he is? Jordan?

Heard a lot of Bulldog fans saying how bad they played but I think the Birds had a lot to do with it.

I have only seen the Birds twice this year live and both games they hustled and were in the game late.

Outstanding effort by the Birds. Left nothing on the floor. That's all you can ask for.

Scoring for Highlands v Holmes: Buten 12, Harris 8, Hergott 7, Houliston 6 & 5, Ball 5, Cain 4, Brocket 4, Weyer 3, Shepherd 2, A Hergott 1

Scoring for Holmes v Highlands: Bolden 18, Hill 12 & 10 rbs, Housely 11, Chames 8 & 8, McClendon 5, Glover 4, Arnold 4, Brolley 1.

His M.O.

Disappointing. I hoped it was a one-game frustration thing against CCH but maybe not. Needs to end it.

The Bluebirds played well and were ready.

Holmes will throw in a clunker or two but games like this in February are not that uncommon. You see it all over the region, with possibly the exception of NCC who is just rolling. Cov. Cath. labored through their game against Ryle and so forth.

For Holmes to be successful Chames has to be ready to play from the tip and that can't afford their second scoring option to be in foul trouble like McClendon was tonight.

Holmes players were getting quite upset over some of the calls, Hill even got t'd up at the end. I also thought they made some bad calls on bolden's "travels".

I respectfully disagree. Maybe at the playground the boys dont call ball but he was traveling. Maybe they Would have Let a couple slide if he didnt stare down the official on the first two.

The T seemed kind of weak but We dont know What was said. Kid needs to realize you are up 11 with 20 sec left just accept the call and walk away. Do not Say anything under your breath. These guys gotta realize if you accept Falls and be respectful to officials you will get some calls your way at some point.

Bolden is a special player but he may struggle at the next level with longer and just as quick defenders. I like his game but wish he Would use his fame in a more positive manner. I know a group of 7th grade Highlands boys where in the stands watching him closely with alot of respect. Kids hear about these good players and look up to them.

His M.O.

Not sure about a M.O., what I wittnessed IMO was disrespect. No doubt he is a very good player, but there should also be respect for authority. No player or coach for the matter is ever above respect!!

Some will say that Holmes may have taken Highlands lightly or looked past them but Coach Listerman had a very good game plan and his team did a very good job of excuting, just didn't have the depth needed to pull off the upset.

Some may not believe in a moral victory, but I have to believe judging by the final outcome, for the Birds this must've been one. If they don't think so, I sure do.

As one of the few on BGP who DOES believe in moral victories, I say this WAS one for the Birds. It's certainly something Kevin can use to say "see - listen to what we're telling you."

Hill's T was indeed weak. Only thing he said to the ref was "watch the elbows" and the ref T'd him up. Booher was standing right there and thats why he was so upset about the call.

Not sure I have ever saw Coach Booher that upset over one call, Coach Listerman has the birds playing hard, good luck the rest of the season to both teams.
