I'm assuming Ballard was the favorite this time last year, but was Madison Central a top ranked team at this point last season? Also about how many teams in this top 20 do you all think are real contenders for the title?

Mike Fields has Newcath 4, Holmes 5, Covcath 7

I think the top 11 are all contenders for the title after seeing the Sweet 16 Draw.

Mike knows what he's talking about. :thumb:

Yes they were,,,,Maybe 6 or 7,,but some of them will not make it to the sweet 16 due to loaded regions

They were in the most important poll.

They were in the most important poll.

If Cov Cath is #2,,,Henry Clay #14 and Manual #19 there is something wrong with this picture, I have seen them all play at least twice this season...Maybe my mine is going......

I can only presume you saw CovCath's lone loss and a win that failed to impress you in the two times you saw CovCath, but have you seen any of Manual's SEVEN losses or any of Henry Clay's NINE losses? Or maybe its my mine that is going.....

Do you think CovCath is the second best team in the state?

According to these rankings CovCath is undefeated (and has a few less wins) because Ohio games do not count. Also I wonder if the running clock has had any effect on these rankings. Because teams often sub out completely and a 35 point lead may end up a 27 point win whereas in the past maybe it was a 40 point win even with JV playing the 4th quarter?

This ain't the BCS.

Do you think CovCath is the second best team in the state?

No, but they have been impressive. They handlesd a very good Holmes team pretty easily and was nip and tuck with NCC for a half. They definitely can play with anyone and are much better than I thought they would be.
