St. Mary with a solid effort tonight against the Lions who had too much "fire power".

Congrats to the All "A" imposters!!!!

Hope they are proud of their accomplishments.

Cordia better not try very hard and win this thing. If so, the wealthy city schools will have the basketball program shut down. Wait and see.

Come on now! Why act like this is the first time a team playing in the All A has had foreign players. My high school team lost the All A state championship game to a team that started 2 players from England and one from Spain. I don't remember all that much fuss back then.

Dont hate the players, hate the game. Good win for Cordia

Their not the only team in the state to have transfers. Congrats on the win.

My problem is prostituting their small school status to bring their select basketball academy team to compete in a "small school" tournament.

Cordia is no more a Class A basketball program than is Scott County.

If you choose to put together a academy type program, have the decency to decline the "All "A" invitation.

Maybe if their kids had been eligible all year, that'd have happened. Instead, they had to wonder who they've have and wouldn't have. Made sense to play in the All A not knowing if they'd have those kids IMO.

Hahahahaha.....you actually thought they might not play in this tourney....nice timing on letting the Prep school play those guys too...KHSAA at their best!!

Not the KHSAA's fault. The timing of the players' lawsuits and when the judge ruled on them is what dictated when the KHSAA was obligated to change their ruling on when the players would be eligible to play. I suspect the KHSAA may pursue this further in the courts . . . or not.

The KHSAA is funded by the schools that are a part of it and those who support the KHSAA's programs (like BB State Tournament and FB Play-offs, etc.), but their pocketbooks aren't bottomless. At some point they have to say "uncle" and give in to those who fund these player lawsuits because there is a limit of what they can spend going to court.

So what you are really trying to say is the KHSAA is lacking in intestinal fortitude......so the state of basketball in Ky. is not good......all transfers come to Ky. and you shall be ruled eligible by a judge, not the basketball commission....

Yes. 1990, the first year it was a state-wide tournament. It was held in Memorial Coliseum, which in my opinion has been the best venue it's ever been played at. There were some big crowds that year.
