Since I'm joining the conversation late, please excuse my ignorance. Guru, do you think Coach Lynch might be posturing to allow Ryle to be the one to announce their choice for HC? Also, I can't, and stress can't, imagine the Triple Crown Mafia would like the offense that's run at Manual. It appears to be a wing-t or whatever you call it. Those people would lose their minds! I'm also a big Mike Woolf fan. I think he would make a fantastic head coach, and have personally tried to get him to move on and take jobs that were open. However, Mike Woolf is a loyal man and had remained loyal to Ryle High School, Bryson Warner and the kids in that program. I didn't think he would get the Ryle job, but not because he isn't qualified. I think the current administration was looking to break away from the previous regime and separate themselves from any BS stirred up by the parents that were behind the Warner firing. Regardless of who is the next coach, I wish them well. I'd like to see a spread offense there, only because I believe the talent is ripe for that offense. I certainly hope Mike Woolf will be the defensive coordinator bc he's earned that right to stick around. Looking forward to this ending.

Manual does not run a wing t offense. They have been West Coast for the last 4 years, since Coach Lucas, Rigdon, and Johnson came from Bryan Sation. Russel Rigdon knows football, but unfortunately he did not get the job either.

Interesting since you are in the know. FWIW, Coach Lynch was at Highlands workouts today. Doesn't mean anything since Ryle won't make announcement till Monday. But the email I saw says differently. Guess we will wait and see.

Not sure. I don't think so, however he is more than qualified to be the head coach. I wonder if he will stay on with the new head coach. I think the olive branch was reached out, but he is still considering his options. Whatever Coach Wolfe does, he will be great. I hope he finds a better place that will appreciate all that he does and the dedication and loyalty he brings to the table

IF you mean Covington Catholic, yes, he talked to CCH but did not get any offer. My guess is money was always an issue.

If its who I heard, I wasn't overly excited about it. I think it should be a big, established name if you pass on Wolfe. I wish him all the success in the world, but I think when I guy has dedicated himself like Wolfe has to one school, loyalty should be repaid. Obviously the hiring committee didn't feel like loyalty meant anything or they wanted to distance themselves as far from Bryson as they could. Whatever the reason, good luck to the new guy
