Not many...

IHM lost to a very good Ockerman team 40-46.

Halftime score was 17-26. IHM hung in there and Carter Kunstek shot a 3 and tied it up, at 40-40.

Ockerman was celebrating their last home game for the 8th graders with much fanfare. Always nice to see the boys get that recognition.

Twenhofel Woodland game suspended at half due to slick floor at Woodland. Colton Williams of Twenhofel fell and broke his arm, that's when officials decided it was unsafe to continue.

My man!

Twenhofel 8th beat Conner last night 42-40. Sam Murray with game winner with 2 seconds to go.

that's a good win for Twenhofel

Not quite accurate.....Twenhofels coach made that call. Officials had no problem with floor conditions. Game not suspended but forfeited at that point.

Turkeyfoot beat Beechwood Wed. night. 8th grade night also. It is nice to see kids being acknowledged for final year in middle school.

Pius swept IHM in 6th,7th, and 8th tonight.

6th: 36-20. Was never very close. The Maher boy has some nice skills especially when you consider he's a "big." Many times those kids can't wander 4 feet from the basket. Heck, he was using his off hand dribbling when they were trying to avoid the traps tonight. Very nice player.

7th: Really good game to watch. Pius ended up winning by 2. Both teams were missing a key player I was told. The two best players on the floor were Coldiron for IHM and Nick Thelen from Pius. Two SKILLED bigs who run, jump, handle the ball, and score. Winning bucket was score off of a beautiful bounce pass by Thelen. Coldiron is equally as talented. I'm told he is going to CCH. He and Thelen as a duo are going to be a challenge to say the least for opponents.

IHM had another good big named Quentin Becker. Nice-looking player.

Pius got good play from PG Mason Finke and Johnny Shuh. Nick Jacobs has a nice stroke as well.

8th: Dominated by Pius. Really fun watching a young man who has actual post moves with his back to the basket. Well done to Mr. Maher. Kid goes and GETS rebounds. IHM had some nice players. Nowak who is going to CCH has some skill. I thought Carter Kunstek really showed some PG skills. Very nice passing to the post which is a lost art.

And , yes, Aiden Ruthsatz can play like his bro.

Campbell handled Highlands tonight in A-town. Final score was 49-15.The Camels head to Falmouth Thursday night to play Pendelton County to finish up their regular season schedule.

Hey, atleast the Highlands boys got a bag of candy from the Camel Cheerleaders !!! LOL

Nice gesture by the way...nice presentation of the 8th graders as well. One thing I did notice is they announced a lot of kids who like to play baseball and basketball but didnt hear any who plan to play football. Hmmmmmm

Good to see you. Always a treat to see BGP Royalty!

Appreciate the observations and bball tips.

Add Quentin Becker to the list to CCH boys. His older brother is a frosh at CCH.

Coach Faust must be shaking his head. That's two nice bigs for the future heading to Park Hills.

One of mine goes to St Henry. It is a terrific school, but- not to get too off topic- the St Henry administration and coaches have reaped what they've sown. By turning their backs on the parishioners who support football, they are also turning away young men who love to play both sports- sometimes three sports.

So the basketball, baseball and track coaches can shake their head all they want about IHM, St Henry and St Paul boys going to Cov Cath, but much of that falls on them.
