January 19, 201412 yr Author I hear that the basketball talent that st therese always has transfered to HT to join with a few others last last year and they are the best catholic school team since the 95-96 st therese 8th grade team that was unstoppable. Pretty sure that team was made up entirely in 6-8th grade and most of the talent came from newport/bellvue/southgate
January 20, 201412 yr I was talking to the 8th grade Ruthsatz boy and he said Pius has lost one game - Holy Trinity. LB or someone told me that they have a really talented bunch that have played a lot of ball together.I do think Turkeyfoot beat St. Pius at home.

January 20, 201412 yr IHM 8th won the St. Mary's tournament. St. Mary's was the runner-up. They played the championship game at Bishop Brossart. Hat's off to the St. Mary tourney organizers. Nicely done. :thumb:

January 20, 201412 yr Holy Trinity 8th Grade Boys. Starting 5 could beat a number of freshman teams I have seen this year. Good blood lines on this team. You could also add some JV teams as well. This team is "stupid good"!!! Led by point guard Steven Pangallo........talk about blood lines, grandpa is none other than NewCath head coach Ron Dawn. Been playing together for about 4-5 years, they make the grade school league look like "childs play".

January 20, 201412 yr HT lost to Conner 8th grade twice from what I have heard. They beat them without 2 starters being there.
January 22, 201412 yr Campbell County 8th grade played Holy Trinity twice in the summer league at St Catherine and split games. Each won one game. Both games were very exciting to watch and the marina close in both games. Campbell won the first game and HT won the second. Both very good teams with good players.

They have been playing together since 6th grade we picked up a few new kids this year but most have been together since 6th. Brennan Hall and Jalen McDaniels since 2nd grade. I wanted to comment on the fact that the Dayton Tourney championship game was between Campbell county and HT and HT won by a no show. Campbell county didn't show up. Also in the summer league they beat us in double over time and we played with 4 players. Believe me HT will beat CC on any given day. Conner, they beat us fair and square we totally got out coached but far from out played. The 6'5 boy was just taking up space but Brennan Hall of HT took it to him put him foul trouble early. #11 deserved more credit then he got from Conner my view only is he was best on team #5 was ok. but we will face off again when AAU Legends and SS meet up again. Both these teams are great teams and will be fun to watch.
