January 15, 201412 yr Started this thread to talk about 8th grade teams only. I believe Ockerman's 8th grade boys are undefeated. A lot of really good players on that team, two of which will contribute big time to Cooper over the next 4 years in Ollier and McNeil...yes the younger brother to Sean and Zach McNeil of Cooper.

I was not aware until last night that there was another McNeil. I was told the kid is LEGIT. Plays for James Pouncy.

He is a point guard, won't put up the points his brothers will but that is because he plays more like a true pg and is really good. I wouldn't be surprised if he follows in Sean's footsteps and sees some time on varsity next year especially with A Morgan graduating.

I thought that Chris played for Shining Star with Buddy Pittman/Jesse Lay. I know at one time he played for James but i don't think that he does anymore. He is a nice player for sure. Great basketball IQ!

January 17, 201412 yr The McNeil boy is a real nice player and he does play for Shining Stars still. He has a nice shot and hits pretty much anywhere on the floor.

I was talking to the 8th grade Ruthsatz boy and he said Pius has lost one game - Holy Trinity. LB or someone told me that they have a really talented bunch that have played a lot of ball together.

January 19, 201412 yr I hear that the basketball talent that st therese always has transfered to HT to join with a few others last last year and they are the best catholic school team since the 95-96 st therese 8th grade team that was unstoppable.
