January 15, 201412 yr I agree with that. But I really didn't see anything out of line with the officiating last night. They made bad calls on both teams. Oh, I agree, it was an equal opportunity crappy job. The refs didn't make Harrison catch a ball on the half court line, he did. Refs didn't block out the UK defender under the goal. Randle wasn't effected by the officiating when he threw the inbounds pass under his the other goal and right into a mass of Hogs.

Just for grins I went back and looked and the only team that Pitino had at UK that committed fewer fouls than their opponents were in '96 (+19 margin).
January 15, 201412 yr Coach Cal stresses the NBA over and over because he wants to continue to successfully recruit the top kids in high school with the promise that he is the guy with the track record to get them into the league and all the fortune and fame that goes with it. It really is very self-serving and who can blame this philosophy at a basketball school like UK? If your the coach at any top 10 program you are stressing the NBA. For the elite players that is their major and dream.

He's always trying to take advantage of an interview or situation because you never know what a recruit will hear and I'm sure those 5 Stars eat that up. I'm glad he talks about it all the time, it's something he does great so he should be proud of it and keep telling recruits about it. Some people say that's all he cares about. No, that's not all he cares about, but to win and achieve his goals for UK and himself, he needs to be talking like this and keep showing young kids how they're best bet to develop and succeed is to come to UK.

Its a shame we rarely agree on anything because you definitely have as big of a passion for the same teams I do even though we go about different ways at looking at our teams. I am a huge Bengals fan, and a huge UK fan. That is one reason why I went to UK and received my bachelors and masters degree. I have a huge collection of UK Championship things and just bought a home and plan on doing a room in either UK or Bengals stuff or both. I Love how you have that room set up and with the pool table. A pool table is one of the next things on my list to get. Very nice touch man, that is very nice!
