Middle school makeup game rescheduled for Friday night. Damn weather.

CVH was great. I think he was 12/13 from the field and I don't even remember his miss. Solid D and quick handle.

 

Ruthsatz plays fast, smart & hard. The big kids battled some foul trouble but played very well. Schuh is as athletic as anyone on the floor.

 

CCH used their depth and scored consistently. Very solid all-around performance & team win.

How does a school like Holmes use a pre-recorded National Anthem? Surely they have a chorus or a few musically talented students that could sing for the crowd. I was disappointed.

Between Beetle & Chames, Holmes is going to have an awesome highlight mix tape. Chames had a nasty put back dunk tonight.

Looking forward to seeing the highlight tapes for each team.

Big minutes from Parker Keller and Grant Romes tonight as well. Grant is an effective backup big even though he's about 6'2. Plays big.

Awesome game by CCH. They had a great game plan and executed it to perfection. Congrats blue colonels!

 

Wish I could see their game with NCC. I don't think CCH necessarily matches up well with NCC, but hell, I was wrong about this game, so no result would surprise me.

 

Fun game to watch.

I was told this game was a sellout.

I saw CVH play last year at Villa and he just seemed very mature. Didn't force anything. Didn't rush. Finished well.

 

He showed he is going to quickly be a top player in the 9th.

 

Let's be clear: No one stops Bolden. No one stopped him tonight. However, CVH got in his head. You could see it early. CVH face-guarded him and when I say face-guarded mean nose-to-nose. It frustrated James. James tried to talk back - tried to get physical. CVH just smiled.

 

His baseline shot is money. He finishes really well at the rim. His handle is strong. D is strong.

 

I know some said he'd never get minutes at CCH and "this ain't Villa." He's quickly turned into a key player and Joe Fredrick gets some of the credit for being a basketball mentor to him. Joe has really convinced him that he's LEGIT. It showed tonight.

On the offensive end....Cole VonHandorf was IMPRESSIVE tonight, his shot was "smooth as silk".

The battle between Schult and Chames at one point was about to "blow-up", as the two where exchanging "pleasantries".

 

Chames was a "beast" on the offensive glass :ylsuper:, the Colonels had no answer for him..

 

Ruthsatz is just fun to watch, scores, passes, can handle the rock. :thumb:

 

Was also impressed with the number of players that subbed, and the Colonels didn't miss a beat.
