Wyman made up his own version for rating the teams on behalf of the JCPS. What do you expect from a school system in which a third of all incoming freshmen fail to graduate 4 years later. At the very least, common sense tells you Ballard should be seeded higher than Trinity by virtue of their victory in the KOB. Bullitt East #1? Troutman and Willis are back?

I'm a pretty knowledgable follower of HS Basketball, and this was the first time I had heard of the SETH Power Rankings.

Basketball is all I do and I've never heard of the SETH Power Rankings.

Well, Ballard will now be super motivated and Bullitt East is the hunted through no fault of their own.

It the second year in a row that the Seth Rankings have been used instead of LIT ratings. You don't get any points or very little for playing out of state teams. Better off playing in smaller Ky tournaments and getting wins.

So with Trinity being a 2 and Ballard being a 3, they will match up in semifinals on Saturday morning if they both advance?

 

Ballard played #37 team in the country (won by 20 plus), # 27 Team in the country (Lost by 8), # 18 Team in the country (Lost by 3 in OT) and # 17 Team in the country (Lost by 3 in OT) and gets a 3 seed? LOL
