16 games. Undefeated state champs in class 4A Texas. Defense only allowed 10.6 points per game in the playoffs. Offense scored 1023 and defense gave up 140. They just won the championship this weekend. Yes, that's right December 21 state championship game. Their first game was on August 31. And Kentucky fans think the football season is too long. They are monsters! Aledo is one of the best programs in the country. This year, they are probably the class of 4A (although Denton Guyer might have something to say about that). Definitely a top 5 team in the state. I'd probably put them behind Allen, DeSoto, Cedar Hill and Katy this year (all 5A schools).

 

I would venture to say that all seven of the programs I have mentioned are top 30 teams, nationally. JMO.

maxpreps has Aledo at #4 in the state behind Allen, Desoto and Cedar Hill. Katy is at #6 with Coppell at #5.

 

Katy lost the 5A division 2 title game to Cedar Hill and got dropped in many rankings because of it. I think Katy beats Coppell this year...JMO.

Yes but SK did play them as Frosh and shut them out. Wasn't even close! I did hear Aledo has a bigger Indoor facility though....

I'm guessing that there is no running clock in Texas. That being said, I WOULD LOVE to play DE or OLB for their defense. Can you imagine not having to worry about defending the run and just attacking the passer? It'd be like playing DE for the Colts w/ Peyton Manning leading my offense.
