First of all, are we sure this piece is real? I saw a Facebook News Feed blow up because someone posted a satire article where Kanye supposedly compared himself to Nelson Mandela.

 

Second, if it is real, then I don't think it's something he really believes. It's something that gets him tons of free advertisement.

 

All that said, Kanye seems like a huge tool.

Not even close. I have never heard anyone put him on any top 10 or top 20 of all time list. How he can be most overrated is beyond me. If Kanye is overrated then Eminem is also. By your own words his first two albums were great and he's made crap since. Sounds like Eminem to me.

There has been nothing intellectual about his last few records. He sounds like a guy trying really hard to be deep but just doesn't get it.

Yes. You just can't discount the millions of records he has sold. I think Bon Jovi is garbage. Most do not. But I can't say he's a horrible musician.

 

I don't want to speak for PP92 (although I kind of just did), but I think that's what he was getting at.
