Who will lose?

I think he's saying FSU will lose if they just hang 40 on them.

Maybe so. I don't think so, but I don't know, could happen. It's been a long time since a team has hung 40 on FSU, and Auburn didn't even hang 40 on some middling defenses in the SEC (like Arkansas), and FSU's defense is better than that. That's not just statistics, that's analysis from analysts who know and have described FSU's personnel as basically just like a vintage SEC defense.

Pretty sure it's S. Carolina who is the only team to beat Auburn

LSU.....

Because the only argument people are making for Auburn is that they are from the SEC so they'll win. Not a good enough argument for me.

Tough to go against seven straight. Again how many Oregon's, Ohio States, Notre Dames , etc. are we going to tout coming into the title game as favorites then have them leave spanked at the hands of an SEC team? Seems like every year is the year the SEC is no match for its opponent and every year they prove to the nation why they are hands down the best. I just feel like we've walked this path plenty of times and should learn by now. My guts been telling me FSU, but I still have that feeling I shouldn't doubt the SEC and should know my role by now. But has to end sometime so that's why I'm saying Noles, not because I feel the SEC is down or even weak. Look at ND last year, they were pretty hyped and defense was supposed to be unreal. It was obvious they didn't even deserve to be on the same field as Bama. All I'm saying is I'm not using a measuring stick for a team until they play a quality SEC school, that is the measuring stick. FSU may be as good as advertised but we will find out.

It may feel like you've been hearing that, but in reality the SEC has had the odds favorite in every title game since the Florida/OSU game. Oregon was the only one in years that some thought might go the other way and it was a 3 point margin on a 2 pt spread.

So the fact that Jimbo Fisher has a background coaching in the SEC means nothing? We haven't been down this road before because FSU is modeled after an SEC team now. And they are the favorite.

Do you know who had the second best defense in the SEC? It was ranked 10th nationally?

Yeah but that's Vegas they are smart enough to know better. :D

I was referring more to the anti-SEC crowd.

I've said a couple of times that I think FSU is the favorite and likely to win. I'm just trying to tell you guys not to sleep on Auburn, wouldn't surprise me at all if they won it. I feel better about Bama beating them, but I still think Auburn has a better chance than people realize. It changes things when you have a month to prepare, Malzahn and Auburn has been through the process before and Jimbo is new. Not saying he can't pull it off because he's a great coach who's coached under the best, but it's a different animal when you have that long to get ready.

Until someone gives me a reason to, no way am I betting against the SEC. Remind me what happened the last time they played for the title as a huge underdog??

Auburn 38

Florida State 30

Clemson and Miami would destroy Auburn.

Miami lost to Duke. By 18. I do not want to hear about Miami destroying anyone.

If the game was this week or the next, I would pick Auburn with no hesitation. Their offense is predicated on timing and fluidity and I feel like that may be compromised having to take off a month. Plus it is halting their momentum. On defense they only field 8 guys... at least that is how it seems. This is the worst SEC team to make the BCS title game and I don't think it is close. FSU is a prohibitive favorite as they should be. They really have no excuse not to win.

You talking about Auburn as a huge underdog or the SEC as a huge underdog?
