I honestly believe that tOSU should be 2nd, that's where they were pre season, have not lost, the Bucks are peaking, one of if not the best offenses in the country with imo a top 3 qb and now are on a 23 game winning streak with a coach that has had 3 different teams with 20 game win streaks, no other has.

I feel that Clemson did not fade after being blown out by FSU and are possibly playing at their best now.

Oklahoma State should be higher and frankly sent though a practice in beating Baylor.

Michigan State is like OSU in that they are a victim of the Big10, no one gives them enough credit, their defense is as good as anyone's.

Missou is imo deserving to be above Auburn but frankly, I wouldn't argue a whole lot with 4 thru 8 being switched, moved around.

Here is mine.

I respect your bias and lack of objectivity.

Just like I respect yours, rather not have an SEC team #1 until you're forced to right.....

Not for me. I just think FSU is better than Alabama this season. Bama hasn't impressed me with their play like they have the last two seasons. I fully expect them to lose to Auburn this week and we'll have FSU/OSU in the championship game.

Even in a down year like this year for the SEC, the SEC is still the best conference in college football from top to bottom.

Anyone who has FSU lower than #2 is looking at Saturdays through their own color of shades. IMO the debate of #2 is between OSU and Alabama. Especially if we are calling Clemson #4 or even a top 7 team.

I agree with you. In the games I have seen give the slight edge to Florida State over Alabama. And if Florida State and Alabama were playing this weekend I might be inclined to pick the Seminoles.

However, and this is a big however, I would pick Alabama in the bowl game. Alabama has shown over the years that given six weeks to prepare for the BCS championship they will take away whatever it is that you do best. Look at how they beat Texas, LSU and Notre Dame. All three terrific teams, all teams grasping at straws when their game plan didn't work. I don't know what Alabama will do to stop Jameis Winston and Florida State but I fully expect them to do it. That is, of course, if they beat Auburn!

What if Auburn beats Alabama and Missouri back to back...is that a stronger body of work than anyone else? Would they deserve shot at FSU over OSU? I'm not saying they'll jump that high but would they be the most deserving?

second thought) If Auburn Blows Bama out where are they in the polls next week how high would they climb?

Good questions. I believe that Auburn can get to the championship game with wins over Alabama and Missouri. It would be a terrific case study of an SEC team with one loss but great wins against a Big Ten team with no losses and a couple strong wins (Wisconsin and Michigan State). While I suspect the computers would show Auburn ahead, the BCS formula is 2/3 human vote and I think the pollsters would have a hard time leaving out an undefeated power conference team at the expense of a one-loss power conference team.

One reason there should not be a ranking preseason. See the teams a few weeks. I don't buy that teams can't drop without a loss. Teams can be more impressive with their wins to jump other teams.

Would they deserve shot at FSU over OSU?

No question.

If Auburn wins out, they'll play for the BCS Title. No doubt about it.

My rankings since objectivity clearly isn't required...

2. Florida State

3. Auburn

4. Missouri

5. South Carolina

6. LSU

7. Texas A&M

8. Georgia

9. Ole Miss

10. Mississippi State
