I hope all is and goes as reported, this could very well be the crowning achievement of the President when history goes to judge him.

I agree with this deal and as Jumper mentioned, hopefully it's a step forward.

 

For those complaint it's a bad deal, or want to use it to bash Pres Obama yet again, give it a rest! It's only a 6 month deal, if Iran doesn't live up to the deal it will show they still can't be trusted at this point. But it does show that the West, well most of it, is willing to make a deal for more a more friendly Iran, we are reaching out, many times the adults have to do that.

 

Yes, Israel is upset at the deal, it's their sworn enemy. To me is shows they don't really want peace at all, they want to hold on to old grudges and have it their way 100% of the time no matter what. This is the same reason I don't think there will be peace in the Middle East in at least the foreseeable future, as Israel won't negotiate.

Does anyone HONESTLY believe this agreement means anything with regard to Iran halting/slowing their nuclear program? Sorry, I don't trust the situation and if I am Israel, I continue as is, ever the ready for being a target.

Grudge? Wow, Iran has pretty much said they wonit be satisfied until Isreal is wiped off the map. Because we all know that peace with Radical Islamists is achievable.............

Democrat Senator Schumer has already announced his displeasure with this bill and said its likely the Senate still adds back sanctions.

I'm trying to like this deal I just can't find anything to like. United States is the only party who gave something up.

We can only pray it is a step in the right direction... you really never know. It is sad you even have to negotiate with these folks on whether or not they will continue or at least limit their uranium generation. Sanctions are obviously working so you do have to question if we gave in too much. But most of this is above any of our heads nor do we fully know what is occurring behind closed doors.

Lets see...... Iran gets around 7 billion in cash and gold plus several more perks amounting to millions more and they get to keep their nuclear program up and running.. China and Russia get oil and we get nothing... Awesome deal Obama.

I honestly don't know how anyone can see this as a good deal. Not to mention we negoiated this deal behind everyone of our allies backs. This might be the worst deal I've seen between the United States and a potential threat in a very long time.

There is no such thing as a "promising" deal when dealing with Communists or Radical Muslims. Surely your memory hasn't selectively forgotten the many "promising" deals with North Korea............................

Before we think it's all hunky dory, there is a part of the deal that I don't like, and it is this..."Iran retains the right to nuclear technology, including the enriching of uranium under the terms of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons"

 

So they say they won't use the technology they are allowed to keep....well that makes me feel good how bout you? :ohbrother:

All this deal says is Iran can keep nuclear program at status quo and the Americans have to take away 7 billion in sanctions. Iran isn't forced to tear any part of the their program apart. Again bad deal.

According to the agreement, Iran has committed to halt all enrichment above 5 percent and neutralize its stockpile of near 20 percent uranium.
