sweet16 Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 1st time ever for Graves into regional final
Toothpick Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 Graves deserved this one, now on to be the lamb for BG to slaughter
Purple Nation Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 Sorry to hear central qb injured. Not a good way to end season. Wish purples could play at home next week. I say purples take it to graves next week hot and heavy
Purple88 Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 Sorry DragonFire that's a tough way to go out. But you should be proud of your squad, they stumbled out of the gate, but regrouped nicely and played two crazy close road games (tonight and Highlands). They'll be back
DragonFire Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 I'm def proud of the Dragons. They fought and fought all year. When you have 45-50 players and then guys start getting hurt.... it's halfway a miracle they did as well as they did. Lose your starting QB six plays in, you're in real trouble.
DragonFire Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 Now that I'm not on the road, just want to say congrats to Graves County. I know it was a big monkey on the back never getting past the second round and I know that those players will always remember making history for the school. I feel like that field is cursed for Chris Porter-Bunton who suffered injuries in each time he went there. It's a shame, he looked like he was on his way to a big night.
PurplePride92 Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 How serious is his injury? I know he is counted on in basketball also isn't he?
rookie57 Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 I didn't know that you lost your QB that early, that had to be a killer! I know that would end most high schools chances of advancing. Having said that, props to the eagles.
DragonFire Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 How serious is his injury? I know he is counted on in basketball also isn't he? Not sure yet how serious. Coach Rogers said in his interview a possible Achilles injury. If that were the case, I don't think it would have been torn because he could walk, albeit with a limp. I remember seeing Kobe's injury where it was torn and he could barely move. I'm just praying it's not serious because yes, he is very much counted on for basketball and he is probably the best matchup advantage they have. They'd still be favored without him but they'd be much more vulnerable.
