AvidTiger why did X run the ball so few times? Walker only 4 carries & Davis only 10 carries!

 

Davis went over 200 yards on 26 carries in the first match-up vs Male. So you would think in addition to having a healthy Walker that the game plan would be Heavy run with Walker & Davis getting about 20 carries a piece!! I really wish the new Coaches luck in the future but this year's X team would have been better off with Coach Glaser as he would have surely pound the ball with both Walker & Davis. What do you think?

These seniors conclude their high school careers with -0- championship rings. Nagle's old school was buried in the Tennessee playoffs. It will be interesting to see if he stays around to graduate or if he returns to Memphis.

Did they forget to watch first game film? Why did we hold Walker out against FC if we were not going to use him against Male?

I would imagine that he will stay and graduate with a St. Xavier diploma. That speaks volumes over championships and any other HS diploma!

I am "guessing" his injuries were worse than the average fan knew. Walker is a "gamer".

Poor kid could not catch a break this year. Deep thigh bruise on a weird play against Central, was never 100% thereafter. Got better and against Cincy X was getting after it, when he was tackled awkwardly and strained his MCL in left knee. Nothing permanent luckily.

 

Just one thing after another and was not full strength after 5th game. He could have played if needed against Fern Creek, but game was never in doubt, so why risk him.

 

Male game he was ready and about as healthy as he had been in the past 6 games (maybe 85-90%) but the play calling was just atrocious. More or less bound and determined to NOT PLAY MIKIE BALL AT ALL COSTS

Pretty much. During punt protection and about 2 seconds after ball was in air...kid kept coming and rammed his helmet into thigh were there was no pad. No guess as to why
