I only know a few people who actually went to Paul Blazer, but suffice to say they are enough to make me really enjoy what would otherwise be a non-event in my life.

I knew a guy from FBLA in high school that went to Paul G Blazer high. Brendan Crimmons was a good dude. I'll just never forget in 1992 when they tried to take the cannon down there and the guys transporting it were told that if they try to fire it, they will go to jail by the cop standing at the gate. That was our motivation to win. I truly thought Corey Scarlato was going to kill someone. I remember that the atmosphere there is pretty exciting. Lots of respect for the Tomcats but just don't see them pulling this out.

I know that was a long time ago, but other than Baker that night, the rest of the team looked sloppy and out of shape. Highlands should wear them down very quickly.

Baker is a good back, but he isn't built to carry the load the way Ashland needs him to. He is Ashlands only offensive threat. Nice runner between the tackles and in open space, but not enough of a supporting cast to make this a game.

I don't think it will be that bad but it won't be close. Highlands has a way of burying teams early then coasting.

This is why I think some teams/fans view Highlands as being "down" or "vulnerable". The 'Birds have given up a lot of points this year. I think most of which have been against the 2nd and 3rd stringers. But the final score is what people see so they assume they're down.

Warren Central game is a classic example. I watched Highlands on ESPN and they might be down by their standards or they might not but they are still plenty good.
