I will say this Highlands ia not as good as everyone thinks their defense needs some work. They never made adjustments to stop the outside run. If SK played Highlands they would have over 1000 yards.

WC played an incredible game with some really big heart t say the least.

You can make the claim it wasn't as close if it seems if it ends as a 2 TD loss and was a 35 point lead. But you can't use it when a team wins by 2. That's cause for legitimate concern.

Bigger question, What are you exactly concerned about that would warrant such a statement?

It is amazing how some people on here just don't get it! If the starting D for HHS gave up this many yards and points I would be freaking out. But considering 5 starters didn't play and they are the kids for the most part that would of been containing the edge on defense I'm not to worried.. Not arguing that it is or isn't false hope. Just saying that many times, perception and reality are different, and others, they are more similar than they should be.

 

If I'm coaching a team and I feel that deep down, Highlands would overmatch us and that my kids are already beat mentally beat on Monday when the game isn't until Friday just because of the name on the jersey, I'm having my tape people scrambling to put together clips of teams beating down Warren Central, to be followed by clips of Warren Central's offense moving against Highlands at the end of the reel. I show the tape I've put together to my team and try to "rah rah" enough to reinforce the point that they shouldn't feel beaten before they step onto the field, and that even if they get down early, someone else has hung around and came back on them.

That is the first I have ever heard of that. I have seen SK play this year and HHS would score at will on them. No way SK comes within 3tds of the Birds when all of their starters are on the field..
