Come on. Limited when do not have a qb. Then when the qb DOES make some decent throws the ball is dropped. OR if the qb makes a completion it's not thrown where a play can then be made. Question a call or two but that's not "terrible coaching."
October 25, 201312 yr That last set of downs in the game was just terrible. I'm praying hard for whitlows ankle tonight. Max was twice as good at QB last year. I don't know what happened but we need Whitlow to get healthy. His injury came at a bad time since he missed the on SEC game we could've won. Did I not see it well enough or was the onside kick offside call not a good one?

Yes, the QB play is awful but it's simple...either Whitlow is healthy enough to play or he isn't. If he isn't, then he's out. But he played some tonight. I don't get it.

So Smith is moving the ball down the field and you bring Whitlow in on 3rd down to get tackled on a scramble? Or how about Whitlow moves the ball right down the field to score and you bring Smith out on the next series? Or how about you run a horizontal jet sweep with less than 2 minutes to go and gain nothing? Tonight was bad. Mississippi State is terrible. Mullen tried every way in the world to give Kentucky a win.

But he played some tonight. I don't get it. I think Whitlow was able to play some, but not the entire game. Max is bad enough that I think you use Whitlow as much as you can without aggravating his injury further.
October 25, 201312 yr I checked with an official. He said without seeing the play it sounds like the call was correct. They do not call it on non-onside kick plays. They do on onside kicks. If his body breaks the plane on an onside kick they will call it.
October 25, 201312 yr The Blue-White game is Tuesday. That probably attributed to tonight's loss. Players were day dreaming about that, clearly unable to focus on the task at hand tonight.

No legit QB to throw the ball. That takes a lot of your playbook.
