They then take the average ranking of each player and compile a list of the top 500. Today they entered the top 10.... #10 - Marc Gasol #9 - Derrick Rose #8 - Kyrie Irving #7 - Dwight Howard #6 - Steph Curry The 5 players yet to be revealed are....LeBron, Durant, Westbrook, CP3, and James Harden As a point of interest, Kobe was the most controversial ranking thus far at #25. Thoughts?

Not a Carmello fan but is Harden better than Mello?
October 22, 201312 yr Author I think top 5 is a bit high for Harden, more like 10-15 range IMO, but I think he's a more complete player than Melo. I agree with 4 of the top 5....I think LeBron, KD, Westbrook, and CP3 are definitely top 5. Probably would've included Howard or Irving as #5 though.

I agree that he should be around the 15 range as well.
October 22, 201312 yr Really hard to put a # on Kobe right now but if anyone can comeback at a high level after that it's him. His drive and passion for winning and being great is unmatched.

October 22, 201312 yr I think Kobe deserves the benefit of the doubt and should have been ranked based on where he was last season. If you don't think he'll come back from injury then he's MUCH lower than 25, if you think he'll make it back he's MUCH higher than 25...kind of a cop out by who ever made this list. But then again it did get publicity for the list.
October 24, 201312 yr So 2 years ago 3 of the top 5 were all on the same time and they couldn't win a Championship together, hmmmm whatever you expert analysts say. I think most experts think if OKC doesn't trade Harden they are front runners last year. OKC front office made a move to quick. But I wouldn't put Westbrook in the top 5. I have no problem with Harden he is the #1 two guard in the NBA today.
