I don't know the answer, but the guy is a good football coach.

Newport thing is kinda shocking..Coach Schmitz did a bang up job this year, and I thought they were returning a lot???

He isn't from the area, is he? Also, with his father passing away this season is it possible he might have wanted to be closer to family? Obviously this is all speculation but it is sad to see a really good coach leave a program that with the right coach in place can be successful.

Madison Central should be a really good job.

I believe his family was originally from the area but because his dad's coaching jobs they hopped around a bunch. I think he moved from Tennesee to come to Newport. This is the first I heard of it and if true it's best they get a replacement quicker than this last time. Can hurt your turnout during the off season, something that school can't afford.

Madison Central isn't open yet, according to the richmond register. Browne was asked to resign, he did not. This hangs on what the school wants to do but as of now, Browne is still the coach at Madison Central until further notice by the MC Administration...

Newport is not open..

Could we see Ray Graham go after the Madison Central job? Bert Browne to LCA?

Newport is not open..

Word going around is that Newport's head coach's dad died and he maybe moving back to help take care of the family..

Talked to him yesterday... said he is staying...
