That doesn't make sense at all. You're in 4 down situation how do you not run the ball in 3rd down?

Great game by male, although we lost I'm extremely happy for Wakefield who I believe had 4tds. Bad decision to have Davis out the game with the game on the line.

 

I still believe when they get Walker back healthy they will out score any team they face and that's all you have to do to win despite the poor pass defense.

Will would get a B- on his report card. Coach Walsh and the defense would get a D on their report card. Don't think they're the favorite obviously, but the "Super District" will be up for grabs in the play offs.

He has not practiced for two weeks and this was classified as a deep thigh bruise. I doubt he plays before the Cincinnati St. X game and the Bombers will be out for blood because they will be desperate for a win. Then Walker and his Tigers will get Ballard or Fern Creek on the road in the first round and probably Trinity in the second round. I simply do not think he will remain a viable threat because of his injury. He is tough, no doubt about it. His history with injuries is working against him.

Sounded like a heck of a ball game. A few defensive plays, but for the most part sounded like defense was at a premium. At the end of the day, speed kills and I would be willing to bet that Male had more speed on offense than X had on defense.

 

Something has to change with X's defense or else it will be a short playoff ride.

 

I have never understood throwing a fade on 4th down. Unless your WR is 6'6' it is a low percentage throw.

 

Even though X was on the losing end, good to see a H/X game be competitive again; brings back some great memories of series in the mid-90s!

 

Some history: Male and St X began their football rivalry in 1924 with Male winning the first 11 games. Overall Male continues to have the advantage 54-40-2. Starting with the 2000 game, St X has had the advantage 11-7.

That you have HHS behind Male and SC. I don't see either one of those teams stopping Highlands offense. SC gave up over 500yds to Henry Clay. What do you think they would give up to HHS?

Neither one (male or SC) would beat HHS. Last time SC tried last year, I'm not sure they even got a first down in the first half! HHS didn't lose much on defense from last year! And I'm not sold that BG would beat Trinity either. They are good, but apparently their big in state win (X) may not have been as big as everyone thought at the time. Would love to see a T, HHS, BG round robin. I know it won't happen!

They gave up 500 yards of offense but still won by a margin of 36 points. That is pretty impressive to me.

Why isn't it as big as everyone thought? Out of all the teams to play X on that schedule, Bg has been the only team to dominate them.
