They ran the ball a lot tonight, they had to throw at the end, up against the clock. Camels defense just played exceptionally well tonight. Dixie's 1st play on O, #34 was off to the races and LB Nick Sauerback caught him from behind inside the 10 and Dixie didn't score. Later in the game Dixie had 4th and 1 and the Camels stopped them also. Dixie has some weapons on Offense, but Camels D was just that good tonight. Best I've seen them look all year.

Could it be that the Camels are better than many are giving them credit for. Without a doubt, SK gave them a spanking. However the Camels put up 35 against the Neers. Very lackluster corner and safety play in the SK game. I take nothing away from the Neers, but I don't believe the young Camels had ever seen a team that could prolong a play as long as SK did with Kuntz at QB. Giving up several long passes. Go Camels!!!!

Other than frustration, why was Brossart going nuts on the sideline after the missed FG late in the 4th? Did he think the Camels jumped the snap or did they rough the kicker? He gave the side judge all sorts of heck once the kick missed wide left. I was unable to witness from my vantage point.

 

It caused Dixie 15 yards after the white hat called him for an unsportsman like conduct. Thanks in advance if anyone is in the know.

 

Anyone else find it odd that the Camels threw the ball, with less than two minutes, twice and went out of bounds to stop the clock for Dixie. The clock would have either ran out ( if they ran and stayed inbounds ) or would have left considerably less time than the minute left Dixie received.

 

No turnovers in this game either. Enjoy your weekend!

I couldn't tell what Dave was upset about. My guess is he thought they were offsides but that's just a guess.

I thought Washington was gone down the sidelines early. He's the quickest to full speed I have seen all year. Was great to see Sauerback catch him from behind. Not a pursuit angle, but ran him down. Was an impressive play by Nick.

Tough loss for Dixie, but 5-2 at this point in the season (with both losses coming down to the final minute) is nothing to hang your head about.

I'll be very interested to see how they bounce back against SK. SK is by far the best team Dixie will face this year in the regular season. If they bring

their "A" game, it could be a good one.

 

And oh yeah, keep me on the list of people that still think Dixie has a stronger team than CovCath this year.

I just watched the play and no one jumped or got remotely close to the kicker, so I am not sure what happened there.

 

Also, if Dixie is so good like some of you say then they should of won. The better team won last night. I can't stand when people say a certain team should of won and didn't. Your team lost CCHS won. CCHS made the plays when needed and Dixie did not. For me I say, CCHS was better prepared for the game and Dixie was not.

 

Good luck the remaining of the season and for the love of God go support your team. I find it sad the lack of support for a 5-2 team now. CCHS was on fall break and you still would have seen the same amount of fans if the game was at Dixie.

Agreed but I was shocked to see the lack of support for a 5-1 team. We all know if you are not winning people will not come out and support the team which is sad because the kids are putting the effort in but we know it is hard to watch bad teams.

He was wanting a time out. Not sure why, maybe he saw something he didn't like. He went bananas on the the official on Dixie's sidelines and then proceeded to go bananas on the white hat with a few adjectives thrown in which warranted the flag. Not sure if he called it late or called it at all but I will say that referee crew is ranked #1 in this area and if he called it they would of given it to him. I think it was more out of frustration for the way the game was going for them.
